Birth announcement!!!!

Well last night I got 2 guppies. a BEAUTIFUL girl and a BEAUTIFUL boy, in the hopes that they would have kids. I didn't know how long it would take but I couldn't wait. Well to night I get home from shopping and I realize that I left the light on to my fish tank. well imagine my surprise when i look in and see little babies. I thought the female might be pregnant but I wasn't sure because they had the males and females separate. well it was like on tank with a piece of plastic in the middle with slits in it. Can a fish get pregnant like that? or did they mess up? But anyways I can only count 4 the others my have been eaten i plan to do everything to keep them alive, any suggestions?
